Sign-up Period:   January 12–26, 2019

 

Location:   San Mateo Nippon Gakuyen (Miyaguchi & Yokemura Classrooms)

 

Categories:

  1. Your Story:  Present your own story
  2. Reading:  Read a book as if you were the main character of the story
  3. Memorization:  Present a memorized poem, etc.

12:00 – 12:30   Preparations
12:30 – 12:45   Participants Sign-in
1:00 – 1:10   Opening
1:10   Presentations
3:30   Closing 


Entry Fee

$8 per student.

The sign-up period may end early if the maximum # of participants is reached, so we encourage you to sign up early.

 

Eligibility

Current Students of San Mateo Nippon Gakuyen (max: about 20-30 students)

 

Presentation Time

2 minutes max per student

 

Recognition

All participants will receive a certificate and prize.

One participant will receive a special award.

出場者一人につき $8 です。定員になり次第締め切りますので、お早めにお申し込みください。

When to stay home

A student should not be in school when he/she has:
  • Nausea or vomiting, or has vomited during the night
  • Diarrhea
  • Frequent coughing or sneezing
  • Evidence of a communicable disease such as a rash, fever or unusual sores
  • A temperature of 99.5 degrees or above. If a child has had a fever, he/she may not return to school until she/he has been fever-free for 24 hours (without taking fever-reducing medication)
  • Sore throat
  • Strep throat – must be on an antibiotic for 24 hours and be symptom-free
  • A new cold or generally feels bad
  • Unusual watery, burning or red, crusted eyes
